Chesapeake Oysters are rather plump, mild, and low in salinity — especially compared to other east coast oysters.

Cooking Tips & Recipes

Thaw before cooking or consuming. 

For best results, thaw with cold water.

Cold Water Thaw: (15-20 minutes)

Leave vacuum pack material in place while thawing. Run cold tap water over product for 15-20 minutes or until thawed. Immediately remove vacuum pack material as soon as thawed. Product should be thawed and ready to eat.

Refrigerator Thaw: (4-6 hours)

Place tray in refrigerator for 4-6 hours of until completely thawed. Serve at your convenience.

Consume raw, bake, or steam.
