The dry batter mix is perfect for adding beer, spices, or milk in order to make the batter fit your meal.
Cooking Tips & Recipes
Blend Batter Mix and 3/4 cup water in a shallow bowl. Stir until smooth. Dry food product thoroughly with paper towels before coating with batter. Dip food product into batter. Shake off excess batter and gently place into fryer. Cook in small batches until golden brown.
For beer batter, replace 3/4 cup water with your favorite beer.
For spicy batter, add 2-3 dashes of Tabasco or 1-2 Tablespoons of blackened seasoning to batter.
For a thicker batter, coat food product with dry batter before submerging in wet batter.
Deep Fry:
Batter as cook as directed above.
Pan Fry:
Pre-heat 3 Tablespoons vegetable oil in a skillet on medium-high heat. Moisten food product with cold water or milk. Shake off excess moisture. Coat food product with dry Batter Mix until evenly covered. Pan fry in hot oil turning after 3-4 minutes. Cook each side until golden brown.
Oven Bake:
Pre-heat oven to 400°F. Moisten food product with water or milk. Shake off excess moisture. Coat with dry Batter Mix on plate. Arrange food in single layer in greased baking dish. Bake 10-20 minutes.
